Whew...OK...what's been going on?

Yesterday was San Juan, (Susan wants me to make some sexual reference, but I don't feel the urge......), anyways we stopped at the two large forts in Old San Juan, and then went to a Marshals. (Needed to get rubber shoes). Almost got a parrot to sit on my shoulder, but Susan was worried that it didn't have a sphincter. Then we got back to the ship early, cause Susan and I got to go to the SPA! Ever seen a water buffalo in a spa tub? Well the Spa lady probably thinks thats what happened to my room, I probably almost sank the ship.

Today was great, we're here at lovely St. Maarten. My first real tropical island...gorgeous, I'm truly amazed at how incredibly beautiful this island is. We sailed on the Canada IV, a 12 meter racing boat used in the America's cup race series. It was awesome... Susan loved it too ...we were both primary grinders (in charge of turning the crank the tightened the primary (as opposed to the main) sail). Just had a great, great time...the weather was awesome, the wind terrific on the waves. Then we dumped our mad loot and went back to play on the beach.

Susan says I should try and describe the water. It's blue. Sometimes deep, deep (seriously, deep) saphire blue, and sometimes pale, aqua-marine blue, like windshield wiper fluid blue. But just crystal clear, with the sun sparkling off of the waters. Anyways, we frolicked on the beach for a while, and now we're back on board the boat.

Current vote is 1 week in St. Maarten. Failing that, the cruise is still outstanding...the company is great, we've met some great people (overcoming my natural tendance to hate everyone), and the shows have been good also. The cabins are fine for us, a little more storage space would be nice, but maybe (Susan's words here...) "Maybe I could pack less". Being near the middle of the boat would be nice, because everything seems to be on the other side of the boat, but we're surviving.

We're taking bunches of photos on the digital camera, and downloading them onto the laptop at night. System seems to be working pretty well. By the way, Noran took some fantastic pictures at the wedding, and I got great pictures of just about everybody there.

One last note, Susan says not to play the casino, but we'll probably go through at least one more time before we leave the boat. She says if you guys want to play in a casino, she'll open one and you can just give her your money.

Guess that's it for now...
